About Us

Halfshell Design Co started as a therapeutic, creative outlet for my ‘step’mom and I after the tragic loss of my sweet nephew in 2021. I have always had an obsession with oysters (despite being a Texas transplant)—literally every room in my house has some sort of oyster decor in it! Luckily, my true Texan husband has grown to love them too!
I’m all about feeding my crafty/artsy Louisiana soul, and luckily my sweet Ellie jumped right in after telling her about my oyster dreams. She's my partner-in-crime and has also found a love for creating gorgeous, one-of-a-kind oyster pieces. I'm so grateful God blessed us with such an amazing relationship and the opportunity to make a side gig into this fun venture for us to do together and make some amazing memories along the way!
